DWI offenders’ punishment could double with higher blood-alcohol level
First-time DWI offenders could soon be facing double the normal punishment. A bill sitting on Gov. Perry’s desk would mean that if you blow twice the legal limit, you could spend up to a year behind bars. Montgomery County sees 28 DWI, BWI Memorial Day weekend arrests
While there were no alcohol-related motor-vehicle fatalities on Montgomery County roads this Memorial Day holiday weekend, there were more than two dozen arrests of intoxicated drivers.
